Florida State Faces Cleveland State In Wilkes Classic Saturday At 6:00 P.M.
Seminoles playing for fourth consecutive victory.

Florida State, which defeated UAB 78-70 on Friday night, faces Cleveland State in the third round of the inaugural Glenn Wilkes Classic at on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. in the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach. The Seminoles have won their first two games of the classic with victories over Georgia Southern (92-67 on Nov. 12) and UAB (78-70 on Nov. 16) and are one of only two undefeated teams in the event. The Seminoles and Rhode Island (who will not meet in this event) are the only teams with wins in their first two games with two games remaining for all eight teams in the classic. With three wins in its first three games of the 2007-08 season, the Seminoles have begun a season with a 3-0 record for the second consecutive season and for the fourth time in the first six seasons of the Leonard Hamilton era at Florida State. Following Saturday's game against Cleveland State, the Seminoles will play USF in the final round of the Glenn Wilkes Classic on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. Florida State returns to the Donald L. Tucker Center in Tallahassee on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. as it plays host to Georgia State.
FLORIDA STATE'S SWANN CONTINUES TO BE WHITE HOT
Florida State senior guard Isaiah Swann scored a near-career high 28 points on six-of-11 shooting from the 3-point line as he led the Seminoles in scoring for the second consecutive game in their 78-70 victory over UAB Friday. Swann has made 14 of his first 26 3-point shots of the 2007-08 season (.538 percent)) and is in the midst of one of the most torrid 3-point shooting streak of his career. He made 14 of his final 22 shots from long range (.636 percent) in the final three games of the 2006-07 season against Toledo (two-of-four), Michigan (three-of-five) and Mississippi State (nine-of-13). Swann has nearly matched his freshman season total of 17 shots made from the bonusphere (in 31 games) during the first three games of the 2007-08 season.

Senior guard Isaiah Swann has made 28 of his last 48 shots from the 3-point line (.583 percent) in his last six games. He averages 4.7 made 3-point field goals during that span.

It would mark the first time this season and the first time since Dec. 18-29, 2006 against High Point (81-64), Coastal Carolina (78-65), Saint Peter's (76-63) and Providence (92-62) that the Seminoles would have won four consecutive games;
...Defeat Cleveland State and win its 18th consecutive non-conference game played in the state of Florida. The Seminoles have not lost to a non-ACC opponent in the Sunshine State since falling to South Carolina in the second round of the 2006 NIT.

SEMINOLES CONTINUE TO SHOOT WELL FROM THE FREE THROW LINE
Florida State missed only two free throws in making 14 of 16 attempts from the line (.875) in its victory over UAB and missed only three attempts from the free throw line in making 32 of 35 attempts from the line in its 92-67 victory over Georgia Southern on Monday. The Seminoles are shooting .901 percent from the free throw line (46 of 51) in the first two games of the Glenn Wilkes Classic. Florida State led the ACC and ranked ninth in the nation in free throw shooting with a school record .758 mark last season and is shooting .869 percent from the line in its first two games of the season (53-of-61).
SEMINOLES SHOOT SEASON HIGH FROM THE FIELD AGAINST UAB
Florida State shot a season-high .558 from the field (29-of-52) in its victory over UAB. The Seminoles have shot better than 50 percent in two of their first three games of the season. The Seminoles have been led by their starting five through the first three games of the season with the starters shooting nearly 51 percent (59-of-116, .509 percent) from the field in the first three games of the season.

SEMINOLES ON A REBOUNDING TEAR
Florida State outrebounded UAB by a +12 margin (34-22) to mark the second consecutive game its have earned a double figure rebounding margin. The Seminoles earned 10 rebounds more than Georgia Southern (44-34) in their victory over the Eagles in the first round of the Glenn Wilkes Classic. Florida State opened the 2007-08 season with a victory over Nicholls State (81-58, Nov. 9) despite losing the rebounding battle to the Colonels (39-38). Junior Uche Echefu and senior Jason Rich led the Seminoles with seven rebounds each against UAB on Friday night.
