Florida State, which has won three consecutive games against NC State for the first time since the 1992 and 1993 seasons, travels to play the Wolfpack at the PNC Arena in Raleigh on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 7:00. The Seminoles' game against the Wolfpack marks the first of two meetings this season between the two teams who were both selected to finish in the top four of the league standings. Florida State and NC State will close out the regular season in Tallahassee on March 9, 2013 before both teams head to the ACC Tournament March 14-17 in Greensboro, N.C. The Seminoles arrive in Raleigh following a 69-66 win over Boston College on Saturday in Tallahassee and will play their third ACC road game of the month of February against NC State. The Seminoles are the third winningest road team in the ACC in the last five years with a 21-17 record away from Tallahassee since the start of the 2012-13 season. Following Tuesday's game against NC State, the Seminoles will travel to play at Virginia Tech on Sunday, January 24 at 6:00 p.m. Florida State's next home game comes as the Seminoles play host to Wake Forest on February 26 in a 9:00 start at the Donald L. Tucker Center in Tallahassee.
SEMINOLES AMONG TOP ROAD TEAMS IN ACC PLAY
Florida State is the third winningest road team in ACC play since the start of the 2008-09 season. The Seminoles are 3-3 on the road in ACC play with wins at Clemson (January 5, 2013; 60-57), at Maryland (January 9, 2013; 65-62) and at Georgia Tech (February 5, 2013, 56-54) and are one of only three ACC teams this season - also Miami and Duke, who have won at least three conference road games so far this season. Including last season's 5-3 record on the road in conference play (with wins at Duke, NC State, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest), the Seminoles have a record of 21-17 on the road in the ACC play in the last five years.
FLORIDA STATE AMONG ACC'S WINNINGEST TEAMS
With 170 overall wins and 71 ACC wins, Florida State is the third winningest team in the ACC since the start of the 2005-06 season. The Seminoles average 22.3 overall wins and 9.4 ACC wins per season under 11th year head coach Leonard Hamilton since the start of the 2005-06 season.
ALL-AMERICAN SNAER SURPASSES 1,400 CAREER POINTS; SETS SIGHTS ON 1,500
All-American Michael Snaer scored 21 points in Florida State's win over Boston College on Saturday and became just the 16th player in school history to score at least 1,400 career points. He enters Tuesday's game against NC State ranked 14th in school history with 1,406 points and needs just 94 points to become only the 10th player in school history with 1,500 or more career points.
SEMINOLES CONTINUE TO LEAD THE ACC IN FREE THROW SHOOTING PERCENTAGE
Florida State, which shot .857 from the free throw line (including .833 in the second half) in its victory over Boston College on Saturday in Tallahassee, enters Tuesday's game against NC State as the ACC leader in free throw shooting percentage with a .721 mark. The Seminoles have shot better than .800 percent from the line in five different games and are 4-1 in those games. They shot a season-high .900 percent (18 of 20) in its 60-57 win over Clemson on January 24.
A FORMULA FOR SUCCESS
Florida State shot .510 from the field (including .667 in the second half), shot .538 from the 3-point line (including .800 in the second half) and shot .857 from the free throw line (including .833 in the second half) in its win over Boston College on Saturday. Including a positive assist:turnover ratio of 1.4:1, the Seminoles' played extremely efficient in topping the Eagles for their sixth ACC victory of the season.

...Defeat NC State and win its fourth consecutive game against the Wolfpack. Florida State outscored Georgia Tech, 30-27, in the second half of its 56-54 win on February 5 after trailing the game, 27-26 at halftime. It marked the Seminoles' fourth halftime comeback of the season with three coming in ACC play. The Seminoles trailed at the half at Maryland (36-27 on January 9) and rallied to win the game as junior Okaro White scored 15 consecutive second half points, 65-62; trailed Clemson at home at the intermission (29-21 on January 24) before winning the game on a game-winning, buzzer-beating shot by Snaer and defeated the Tigers by a 60-57 margin and topped Georgia Tech on a game-winning, buzzer-beating lay-up by Snaer after trailing 27-26 after the first 20 minutes. The Seminoles were tied, 34-34, at halftime against Maryland before surging ahead of the Terps to win 60-57 on a buzzer-beating, game-winning 3-point shot by All-American Michael Snaer.
