TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Michael Joiner scored 19 points and freshman Todd Galloway added 14 Monday night as Florida State beat Iowa 80-67 Monday night in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.

The Seminoles moved to 3-0 for the first time in five seasons.

Tim Pickett added 11 points and Nate Johnson 10 for the Seminoles, who led by as many as 17 points in the second half.

Freshman Greg Brunner scored 18 points for Iowa (3-1), while Chauncey Leslie added 17. Jeff Horner, another freshman, scored 12 for the Hawkeyes and Brody Boyd had 10 points.

Florida State took a 39-31 halftime lead when Galloway hit a pair of 3-point jumpers from the corner in the final 52 seconds of the half.

Joiner made 8 of 9 shots from the floor, helping Florida State shoot 50 percent from the field.

With Jared Reiner getting a game-high 10 rebounds, Iowa controlled the boards by a 36-25 advantage, but it didn't offset Florida State's speed and depth.

Led by Galloway, Florida State outscored Iowa's reserves 28-10. The Seminoles also forced 24 Iowa turnovers, resulting in 28 points.

Iowa fell to 1-3 all-time in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge, while Florida State won its tournament appearance for the second time in four years.
