GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Ian Miller's half-court shot hit the back of the rim as time expired and the Florida State men's basketball team fell to No. 15 Florida, 67-66, Friday night in Gainesville, Fla.

The Seminoles (5-2) now have a blowout victory over then-No. 10 VCU, an overtime loss to then-No. 14 Michigan and this near-victory over the Gators (6-1) in the young 2013-14 season thus showing a tremendous amount of improvement since last year.

The `Noles got more than half their points off the bench at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.

Miller poured in 13 points, Aaron Thomas had 12 and Michael Ojo finished with 10. Like Ojo, 7-footer Boris Bojanovsky had a strong game, scoring a season- and team-high 14 points on a perfect 6-of-6 shooting from the field. Bojanovsky also had two blocks.

Okaro White added nine points and two block of his own. The Seminoles had just 12 turnovers offensively.

For Florida, Case Prather finished with 19 points and Michael Frazier II had 17. The Gators show 38 percent compared to FSU's 42-percent clip. UF had 15 assists to Florida State's 10.

The `Noles trailed 31-28 at the half but battled back and tied the score at 66-66 with 28 seconds remaining on the clock. FSU forced a missed shot on UF's final possession but were called for a foul on the Gators' offensive rebound and Dorian Finney-Smith hit one of two free-throws before Miller's desperation heave nearly found the bottom of the net from half court.

The Seminoles now head to Minnesota to take on the Gophers Dec. 3 as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
