AS A FRESHMAN (2011): Averaged 6.6 points (sixth on the team), 3.1 rebounds (fifth), 0.7 steals (sixth) and 0.4 blocked shots (tied for fourth) in leading the Seminoles in free throw shooting with a .828 shooting mark from the free throw line...he was one of only five players on the team who played in all 34 games and was one of only seven players on the team who started at least 13 games...he started the final 13 games of the season including the Seminoles' final nine ACC games of the season, Florida State's game against Virginia Tech in the ACC Tournament and all three of the Seminoles' games in the NCAA Tournament...moved into the starting line-up on Feb. 1 against Wake Forest and held his spot as a starter for the remaining 13 games of the season...he helped the Seminoles to a 6-3 record in their final nine ACC games of the season and to two victories in the NCAA Tournament...a defensive standout who helped Florida State continue its tradition as the nation's most feared defensive team...Florida State finished as the best defense in the ACC for the second consecutive season as it led the league in three defensive statistical categories (field goal percentage defense, 3-point field goal percentage defense and blocked shots) and ranked second in four more important defensive statistical categories (scoring defense, steals, rebound margin and defensive rebounds)...the Seminoles finished the 2010-11 season as the field goal percentage defense national statistical champion with a .363 mark - the second consecutive season they have led the nation in the most telling defensive statistic kept by the NCAA...Florida State held its 34 opponents to a .363 combined shooting percentage from the field - a statistic that led the ACC and all of college basketball. while averaging 18.5 minutes played in 16 ACC games...(vs. Boston College): Totaled 11 points and five rebounds in Florida State's only game of the season against NIT participant Boston College...shot the ball well from the field (four of six, .667) and from the free throw line (three of four, .750) in the Seminoles' 67-51 win in Tallahassee (Jan. 22)...with 11 points he was one of four Seminoles to score in double figures in the win...totaled four first half points to help the Seminoles to a 29-27 lead at the intermission...all four first half points came on back to back baskets at the 13:35 mark and the 11:29 mark to give Florida State an early 11-8 lead...his seven second half points helped the Seminoles stretch their lead to as many as 17 in the second half in taking the win and improving to 5-1 in ACC play for the first time since the 1992-93 season...(vs. Clemson): Averaged 4.5 points and 1.5 rebounds in two games against NCAA Tournament participant Clemson...was a perfect two of two from the free throw line against the Tigers as each team won at home, with the Seminoles winning in Tallahassee and the Tigers winning in Clemson...totaled nine points and two rebounds in his first career ACC game - a 75-69 come from behind win over the Tigers in Tallahassee (Dec. 12)...his nine points helped Florida State rally from as many as eight points down in the first half and from a 34-28 deficit at halftime...was exceptionally productive in the first half with seven points...scored five consecutive points to bring Florida State to within one with 3:08 remaining in the half...a 3-pointer at the 4:31 mark brought Florida State to within three at 24-27 and two free throws saw the Seminoles to within one at the 3:08 mark at 26-27...tied the game at 44-44 in the second half at the 13:19 mark with a lay-up...his lay-up started a 33-25 game ending run that took the Seminoles from two down with just over 14 minutes remaining to six up at 75-69 at the final buzzer...scored zero points to go along with one rebound and three steals as Florida State fell on the road, 62-44, to the Tigers (Jan. 29)...his three steals ranks as one of six times he earned multiple steals in a game during his freshman season and was his second highest total of the season behind his four steals against Wake Forest (Feb. 1)...(vs. Duke): Scored three points and pulled down one rebound in Florida State's only game of the season against NCAA Tournament participant Duke...the Seminoles defeated the No. 1 ranked Blue Devils, 66-61, in Tallahassee (Jan. 12) for the fourth all-time victory over the nation's No. 1 ranked team in school history...two first half points on a dunk at the 7:29 mark of the first half gave the Seminoles a 17-16 lead on their way to an important 28-24 lead at halftime...closed out the game and the win with a free throw with 17 seconds left in the game to give Florida State their final winning margin of 66-61...the Seminoles did not trail in the second half of the game in gaining their signature win of the season...(vs. Georgia Tech): Scored 12 points and pulled down seven rebounds in Florida State's only game of the season against Georgia Tech...tied his career high with six made free throws and established a personal record with eight free throws attempted in the game...Florida State won, 72-63, in Atlanta (Feb. 10)...marked his third consecutive game as a starter and the second consecutive ACC game during which he scored in double figures...was Florida State's third leading scorer and one of three Seminole player in double figure scoring in the victory...an early lay-up at the 16:50 mark helped propel Florida State to a 7-2 lead as the Seminoles scored 17 of the game's first 19 points for an insurmountable and incredible 17-2 lead with just under eight minutes elapsed in the game...closed the first half scoring with a dunk to give Florida State a 30-18 lead at the intermission...added eight second half points as Florida State maintained a double digit lead for the majority of the second half in gaining the ACC road win...(vs. Maryland): Scored four points and pulled down one rebound in Florida State's only game of the season against Maryland...playing from a starters role on the road against the Terps...totaled all four of his points in the second half as the Seminoles attempted to work their way out of as much as a 17 points second half deficit...(vs. Miami): Averaged 11.5 points and 5.0 rebounds while shooting a perfect 10 of 10 (1.000 percent) from the free throw line in two games against NIT participant Miami...was six of six from the free throw line against Miami in the Seminoles' win in Coral Gables and was four of four from the free throw line against the Hurricanes in the Seminoles' win in Tallahassee...scored six points and pulled down four rebounds in 14 minutes of play in the Seminoles improbable come from behind win, 55-53, at the BankUnited Center in Coral Gables (Jan. 19)...all six points came in the first half and helped Florida State stay in touch with the Hurricanes after a miserable start to the game...Florida State did not score a field goal until the 10:11 mark of the half and trailed by as many as 12 points in the first half...scored Florida State's first two points of the game on two free throws to pull the Seminoles to within 6-2 at the 17:08 mark...two more free throws at the 5:19 mark brought Florida State to within 10 at 14-24...again cut the lead - this time to single digits at eight points - with two more free throws to bring the Seminoles to within 21-29 with 43 seconds left in the half...the Seminoles worked to cut their deficit to seven at 31-24 at the half...Florida State outscored the Hurricanes 31-22 in the second half to gain the road win...scored his ACC career high of 17 points to go along with seven rebounds and one steal as Florida State defeated Miami, 65-59, in Tallahassee (Feb. 26)...his 17 points tied for team high honors with Deividas Dulkys while his seven rebounds allowed him to earn team high honors...as a starter he totaled 10 first half points to help Florida State to as much as a 22 point lead in the first half and a 36-16 half time lead ...scored seven of his 17 points in the second half as Florida State held off the Hurricanes who closed to within three as the game drew to a close...most important basket of the game came with 32 seconds left in the game as he made a jumper to stretch Florida State's lead back to five....the Hurricanes had just closed to three at 62-59 on a 3-point shot by Malcolm Grant before White's jumper gave the Seminoles breathing room...(vs. North Carolina): Averaged 8.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in two games against NCAA participant North Carolina...led the Seminoles with 10 rebounds in the two games and was a perfect two of two from the free throw line in the two games against the Tar Heels...was a starter in both games against North Carolina...scored 10 points and pulled down three rebounds to go along with two blocked shots in 23 minutes played as the Seminoles traveled to play at North Carolina on Super Bowl Sunday...the Tar Heels defeated the Seminoles, 89-69, in a game played in the Dean E. Smith Center (Feb. 6)...was one of four Seminoles to score in double figures and tied for team high honors in blocked shots...led Florida State with eight first half points as Florida State worked to keep up with the Tar Heels...made three of six shots from the field and was a perfect two of two from the free throw line as the Seminoles trailed 43-34 at halftime...scored two points in 10 minutes played in the second half...scored six points and pulled down a team high seven rebounds as Florida State played host to North Carolina...North Carolina rallied to win the game, 72-70, on a buzzer beating 3-point shot by All-American Harrison Barnes to give the Tar Heels the win (March 2)...the Seminoles took the lead at 70-69 on two free throws by Derwin Kitchen before Barnes won the game on a 3-point shot from the top of the key that didn't allow the Seminoles enough time to get a good enough shot in an attempt to win the game...totaled all six of his points in the second half as Florida State put the fear of God in the nationally ranked Tar Heels...gave Florida State a 40-37 lead as he scored the first basket of the second half on a jumper...increased Florida State's lead to 42-37 as he made his and the second basket of the second half to increase the Seminoles' lead to 42-37 at the 19:23 mark...a lay-up at the 10:15 mark drew Florida State back to within two at 54-52...played 13 of the 20 minutes of the second half in the nationally televised game as Florida State certainly passed the eye test for the remainder of the 2010-11 season, and certainly planted the seeds of fortune for the remainder of White's career...(vs. NC State): Averaged 3.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 assist in two games against NC State...shot a perfect two of two from the free throw line as Florida State earned the sweep of the regular season series with wins in both Tallahassee and Raleigh...scored four points and pulled down two rebounds in Florida State's victory over NC State, 84-71, in Tallahassee (Jan. 15)...two points on a first half jumper to give Florida State a 24-16 first half lead on its way to a 28-19 halftime lead...two second half free throws helped Florida State hold as much as a 22 point lead in earning the win...not only was the win over NC State important in the ACC standings as it improved the Seminoles' conference record to 3-1 but it was a victory in their game directly after their victory over No. 1 ranked Duke only three nights earlier...totaled two points and three rebounds as a starter as Florida State's victory, 72-62, over NC State in Raleigh to close out the regular season...two points on a first half dunk gave Florida State a 23-10 lead at the 9:40 mark of the first half...his lone basket of the game proved important as the Wolfpack rallied from as many as 13 points down to take a one point lead on two occasions with just under eight minutes remaining in the game...the Seminoles re-took the lead for good on a lay-up by Derwin Kitchen with 6;52 that gave Florida State a 56-55 lead...the win closed out the Seminoles' regular season with a 21-9 overall record, an 11-5 mark and a third place finish in conference play...it marked the school record third consecutive season the Seminoles had finished in the top four of the ACC standings...(vs. Virginia): Scored three points and pulled down three rebounds in the Seminoles' only game of the season against Virginia...scored three points on an old fashion 3-point play in the first half that seemed to ignite the Seminoles' offense...his only basket of the game came at the 6:44 mark - and he was fouled on the play by Virginia's Joe Harris...his basket pulled the Seminoles to within one at 18-19 and the ensuing free throw tied the game at 19-19...the Cavaliers had led for the majority of the first half and White's three point play began an immediate 5-0 run and a 18-4 half ending run that gave the Seminoles the 63-56 win in Tallahassee (Feb. 12)...starting with White's three point play the Seminoles outscored the Cavaliers 47-37 during the remainder of the game to take the win and raise their ACC record to 8-3...White's importance took on an increased importance to the Seminoles' rotation as standout forward Chris Singleton was lost to a broken foot against the Cavaliers...(vs. Virginia Tech): Averaged 4.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocked shots in two games against NIT participant Virginia Tech...shot .500 (four of eight) from the field against the Hokies...totaled zero points, one blocked shot and one rebound in his first career ACC road game against the Hokies...Virginia Tech defeated the Seminoles, 71-59, in Blacksburg (Jan. 8)...scored eight points against Virginia Tech as a starter in his first ACC Tournament game at the Greensboro Coliseum (March 11)...Virginia Tech defeated the Seminoles, 52-51, as the referees waved off a game winning basket at the buzzer by Florida State's Derwin Kitchen...Kitchen's shot initially gave the Seminoles a 54-52 victory...but the basket was taken away after the referees scrutinized the replay and ruled Kitchen released the ball after the buzzer had sounded and disallowed the basket...totaled six points in eight minutes in the first half to stake Florida State to a 27-19 halftime lead...scored six of Florida State's first nine points of the game to help Florida State to a quick 9-4 lead...a jumper at the 18:06 mark put Florida State up 3-0, a tip in at the 15:58 mark increased their lead to 7-4 and another tip in put Florida State ahead, 9-4...helped the Seminoles lead by as many as 11 throw line (.667 percent, six of seven) in the regular season sweep of the Deacons...was Florida State's leader in steals with six and in blocked shots with three as Florida State won in Tallahassee and in Winston-Salem...scored eight points, pulled down six rebounds, blocked one shots and earned his career high of four steals as the Seminoles defeated the Deacons, 85-61, in Tallahassee (Feb. 1)...two points in the first half on two of two free throws at the 14:24 mark gave Florida State an 8-6 advantage on its way to a 31-19 halftime lead...totaled six points in the second half has Florida State opened up as much as a 32 point advantage in the second half...totaled 13 points, two rebounds, an career-high tying two blocked shots and one steal as Florida State defeated Wake Forest, 84-66, in Winston-Salem (Feb. 19)...his performance was especially encouraging and important as it was Florida State's first game without standout forward Chris Singleton who was injured State's offense looked to be stuck in molasses in the first 20 minutes...with White's help, the Seminoles' offense outscored the Deacons, 53-33, in the second half to win the game going away...two free throws at the 14:56 mark of the second half gave Florida State a 43-37 lead and began to open the offensive flood gates for the Seminoles...five points in a 30 second span put Florida State up 59-46 with 8:31 remaining in the game...(In three games during the NCAA Tournament): Averaged 6.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in three games during the NCAA Tournament to help Florida State advance to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 1993 and for only the fourth time in school history....was a busy Seminoles as Florida State defeated No. 20 ranked and seventh seeded Texas A&M and No. 5 ranked and
