Martin Unger, who is in his fourth season as the video coordinator for men's basketball at Florida State, has helped the Seminoles become one of the most technologically advanced programs in the nation during his tenure. Unger initiated Florida State's move from a video tape based system to an all digital network which allows the Seminoles' player and coaches to instantaneously study all game and practice footage in order to utilize that information as a learning tool and to better prepare for upcoming opponents.

Unger works directly with both the men's and women's basketball teams and manages the multi-million dollar video production office in the Florida State Basketball Training Facility. He works directly with Florida State's players and coaches during the competitive season and the off-season in the areas of scouting and evaluation. He is also responsible for the videotaping of Florida State's opponents throughout the season for scouting purposes and preparing the coaching staff for their individual scouting assignments.

Unger was the administrative assistant for the men's basketball team at the University of Richmond from 1997-2001. He was responsible for all recruiting mail outs and film exchange, assisted with on-campus recruiting and was the co-director of the John Beilein Boy's Basketball Camp at the University of Richmond. Unger also helped with the development of the student-athlete performance index that tracked the Spider players both on the court and in the classroom. In addition, Unger served as the video coordinator for the football team for two years.

Unger was a student assistant coach at his alma mater Western Carolina from 1995-97. He handled all travel arrangements for the team and assisted with recruiting, on-campus visits, scouting, on-court drills and individual player instruction.

Unger earned a bachelor's degree is sociology (with a minor in history) from Western Carolina in 1997.

A native of Richmond, Va., Unger is married to the former Heather Kepley. The couple has a daughter, Kelsey Morgan (five), and a newborn daughter, Katherine Nicole, who was born just before the beginning of the 2004-05 basketball season.
