for points...the Seminoles led at halftime, 40-34, led by one with 6:39 to go and tied the game against with 2:27 remaining only to fall, 84-81, in Cameron Indoor Stadium...did the majority of his damage in the first half with a game-high 14 points and seven rebounds...back-to back 3-point shots at the 13:54 mark and the 12:59 mark sparked the Seminoles offensively and defensively...his first long range shots began a 34-22 half-ending run and his second shot from the bonusphere tied the game at 12...he scored four points during the remainder of the half and the Seminoles led 40-34 at the intermission...scored four points in the second half as the Seminoles worked desperately to maintain their lead and attempted to steal the victory in Cameron Indoor Stadium...totaled 10 points and six defeated the No. 1 ranked Tar Heels, 73-70, in the ACC Tournament semifinals to advance to the tournament championship game for the firs time in school history...the Seminoles' victory over the nation's No. 1 ranked team was also the second in school history over the top rated team in the land...his only basket of the game pulled the Seminoles to within two (36-34) with 18:33 left in the game...Florida State outscored North Carolina, 44-38, in the second half to gain the monumental victory...including Ecehfu's lay-up the Seminoles scored nine of the first 11 points in the second half and led for all but 17 seconds of the final 18 minutes of the game...the win will long be considered to be one of the greatest wins in school history...totaled 14 points and pulled down a team-high eight rebounds against North Carolina in Tallahassee (Jan. 28)...shot five of eight from the field (.625 percent), two of three from long range (.667) and was a perfect two of two (1.000 percent) from the free throw line as the Seminoles pushed the No. 3 Tar Heels to the limit in an 80-77 loss...the Tar Heels won the game on a buzzer-beating 3-point shot by All-American guard Ty Lawson...five second half points (in succession in a span of 32 seconds helped the Seminoles climb out of as much as a 13-point second half hole to take the lead...Ecehfu hit a lay-up at the 13:35 mark to shrink the Seminoles' deficit to 52-43 (minus nine) and nailed a 3-point shot at the 13:03 mark to cut the Seminoles hole to 52-46 (minus six)...Florida State re-took the lead at the 8:29 mark and held the lead for virtually the entire remainder of the game before falling on Lawson's perfectly pointed 3-point shot from half court as the buzzer expired...(vs. NC State): totaled a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds to help the Seminoles to a victory in their only game against NC State during the 2008-09 season...his 11 points ranked as team and game high as Florida State won in Raleigh (Jan. 13) for the second consecutive time...the Seminoles won the game, 78-65, after trailing by as many as eight points in the first half...scored six points (on two lay-ups and two free throws) in the final six minutes of the first half to help the Seminoles to the lead after trailing by as many as eight and take as much as a 10 point lead as the half wound down...his lay-up gave Florida State a 32-22 lead with 2:34 left in the half and proved vitally important as the Wolfpack came to within three at halftime...Florida State led 35-32 at halftime...in a see-saw second half, he scored six points including two on free throws with 41 seconds remaining to help Florida State seal its first ACC win and first ACC road win of the season...(vs. Virginia): averaged 11.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in two victories over Virginia...shot well from the field (seven of 12, .583) and from long range (three of five, .600) as the Seminoles' swept the regular season series from the Cavaliers...The Seminoles won 73-62 in Charlottesville (Jan. 24) and in Tallahassee (Feb. 10) by an average of 11.0 points per game...scored six points and pulled down three rebounds in the Seminoles victory on the road...scored four points in a 1:18 span of the second half on a jumper and two free throws to give Florida State an 18 point lead with 15:16 left in the game...Florida State scored the first two points of the game and led wire-to-wire in earning the ACC victory on the road...scored 17 points, pulled down six rebounds, blocked one shot and added two steals in one of the top all-around advantage...his final points in the Donald L. AS A JUNIOR (2008): Averaged a career-high 10.0 points (fifth on the team), a career-high 7.3 rebounds (first), a career-high 1.0 blocked shots (first) while shooting a career-high .460 from the field and .814 from the free throw line...averaged 8.7 points and 8.0 rebounds in nine games against five teams who played in the NCAA Tournament...averaged 10.1 points and 7.3 rebounds in seven games against seven teams that played in the NIT...shot .909 from the free throw line (30-of-33) against the Seminoles' 2007-08 opponents who played in the NIT...led the Seminoles in rebounding an incredible 23 times including 12 times against ACC competition...his career-high six double-doubles ranked him as the team leader while his three double-doubles against ACC competition was more than any other Seminole had during the entire season...the Seminoles top free throw shooter during the course of the entire 2007-08 season...he shot .814 from the line in 34 games as he made a career-high College of Charleston (Dec. 18)...ranked fourth on the team with two 20 point scoring games...he scored 24 vs. Clemson (Jan. 12) and 20 vs. Akron (March 18)...led the Seminoles with seven games of 10 rebounds or more and ranked third on the team with six games as the Seminoles' leading scorer...(vs. Boston College): scored eight points and pulled down five rebounds in 29 minutes of play in Florida State's only game of the season against Boston College...the Seminoles defeated the Eagles, 66-63, in the game that was played in Tallahassee (Feb. 23)...Echefu turned in one of the biggest plays of the season as he earned a steal off of Boston College point guard Tyrese Rice with 12 seconds remaining in the game and the Seminoles up by four at 64-60...following Echefu's steal the ball was passed to Florida State's Toney Douglas who was fouled put on the line for two free throws...he made the free throws to essential secure the victory for Florida State...he scored six points in the second half to help the Seminoles keep the lead throughout the final 20 minutes and gain the victory...he scored the first basket of the game to give Florida State the 2-0 lead - the Seminoles never trailed
