played per game in a career high 35 games played as he helped lead Florida State to its first ACC Championship and to its school record fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance...helped lead Florida State to a 25-10 record, a program record tying 12-4 record in the ACC, a school record seven-game ACC winning streak, to multiple victories over both Duke and North Carolina and to victories over each of the four Tobacco Road schools (Duke, North Carolina, NC State and Wake Forest) in the same season for the first time in school history...enjoyed his finest season as a Seminole as he scored in double figures in a career high 11 games including five ACC games with his season high of 16 points coming in the Seminoles win at No. 6 ranked Duke and 13 coming in the Seminoles' win at and 3.9 rebounds as Florida State won an ACC high six games against ranked teams during the 2011-12 season...the Seminoles' fourth leading scorer in non-conference games with an 8.5 points per game average and 24 blocked shots in 14 games for a 1.7 blocked shots per game average...also shot .506 percent from the field and .675 percent from the free throw line as the Seminoles won nine games before the ACC season began in January...(vs. Boston College): Scored four points and pulled down five rebounds in Florida State's only game against Boston College...made one of his five 3-point shots .667 percent (eight of 12) from the field and was a perfect 1.000 percent (two of two) from the free throw line as the Seminoles and the Tigers split the home and home series with each team winning at home...totaled a near double double of 13 points and eight rebounds on Senior Day in Tallahassee as the Seminoles defeated the Tigers, 80-72, to close out their home schedule...his 13 points were tied for second on the team and rank as his second highest point total in an ACC game during his career...shot .714 percent from the field (five of seven) and was perfect from the 3-point line (1-1, 1.000 percent) and the free throw line (2-2, 1.000 percent) in 27 minutes of playing time as the Seminoles closed out their regular season with a 21-9 overall record and a program best tying 12-4 ACC record...nine of his 13 points came in the first half and helped the Seminoles run out to a 49-33 lead at halftime...seven points in the first 3:54 on a 3-pointer, a jumper and a tip in gave Florida Stadium for only the second time in school history and defeated the Blue Devils in the semifinals of the ACC Tournament to mark the first time in school history they had defeated the Blue Devils in the ACC Tournament...the Seminoles' third leading scorer against the Blue Devils during his senior season...totaled his ACC career high of 16 points, pulled down five rebounds and blocked three shots in the Seminoles' wonderful 76-73 win over No. 4 ranked Duke in Cameron Indoor Stadium (Jan. 21)...was a near perfect seven of eight from the free throw line as the Seminoles won the game on a buzzer-beating 3-point shot by Michael Snaer - one of the greatest and most memorable shots in school history...was maybe the most effective was during his career with 10 second half points as Florida State worked back from a 32-26 halftime deficit in the see-saw battle that saw eight ties and five lead changes...tied the game at 36 on a dunk as the Seminoles opened the second half on an 8-4 run in the first 3:30 of the half...five points on two free throws and a 3-point shot and a 3-pointer in a 37 second span of the second half which gave the Seminoles a 58-55 lead with 8:51 left before Snaer's heroics...a dunk with 2:52 left in the game brought the Seminoles to within two at 67-65...was one of two from the free throw line with 17 seconds remaining in the game to put Florida State up 74-71...an Austin Rivers lay-up tied the game with 4.9 seconds remaining and set the stage for Luke Loucks' pass to Snaer at the buzzer to win the game...scored six points and added five rebounds as Florida State played host to Duke in Tallahassee in an over-sold Donald L. Tucker Center...the Blue Devils made 13 of 28 3-point shots to take the 74-66 win (Feb. 23)...scored four of his six points in the first half as the Seminoles and the Blue Devils battled through two ties and two lead changes...two made free throws in the final 1:42 of the half helped the Seminoles pare down a double digit deficit to trail by only seven at the half...two second half points by Duke pulled away for the win to knock the Seminoles out of first place for the first time since early January...totaled four points, one rebound and one blocked shots as Florida State defeated Duke, 62-59, in the semifinals of the ACC Tournament (March 10)...the win at Philips Arena in Atlanta sent the Seminoles to the ACC Tournament championship game for the second time in Gibson's career and for the 11)...the game marked Gibson's and the Seminoles' second appearance in the ACC Tournament Championship game and the first ACC Championship in school history...all four points came in the second half and helped Florida State gain the win...a lay-up at the 11:41 mark gave Florida State a 66-56 advantage...extended the Seminoles' lead again to 81-73 on a jumper with 3:34 left before the championship win...despite being outscored 9-4 in the final three minutes of the game, Gibson and the Seminoles defeated the Tar Heels for the title of ACC Champion...the win over North Carolina marked the second win over the Tar Heels during the season to mark the first time in school history the Seminoles had defeated North Carolina multiple times in one season...(vs. NC State): Totaled six points, two rebounds and one steal in the Seminoles' only game of the season against NCAA Tournament participant NC State...was three of six from the field as the as Florida State led by as many as 20 and never trailed in winning the game on the road...all six points came in the first half as Florida State jumped to as much as an 11 point first half lead and a 37-26 lead at the half...scored what proved to be the game winning basket - the first basket of the game - on a tip in off a missed lay-up by Michael Snaer with only 20 seconds elapsed in the game...four consecutive Seminole points in a 45 second span of the first half on a jumper at the 8:48 mark to make the score 23-14 in favor of the Seminoles and added a lay-up at the 8:03 mark to increase the Seminoles' lead back to nine at 25-16...the Seminoles never trailed and led by double digits throughout the second half in gaining the ACC road win...(vs. Virginia):Averaged 11.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.0 blocked shot in two games against NCAA Tournament participant Virginia...was Florida State's second leading scorer as the Seminoles won both games of the home and home series with wins in Tallahassee and Charlottesville...shot well from the field (nine of 13, .692 percent), made four of six free throws (.667 percent) and tied for the team lead with 10 total rebounds in the two wins over the Cavaliers who were nationally ranked in both games...scored 10 points and pulled down five rebounds to go with two blocked shots as Florida State defeated No. 18 Virginia, 58-55, in Tallahassee (Feb. 4)...was four of six from the field (.667 percent) and two of three from the free throw line (.667) as Florida State outlasted the Cavaliers in a very well played basketball game...totaled six of his 10 points and one of his two blocked
