Tallahassee, Fla. - Freshman left hander Ryan Vigue was named to the Florida Collegiate Summer League Team of the Week on Monday, June 23.

Playing for the Sanford River Rate this summer, Vigue went 7.2 innings in his third start of the season back on June 20. He allowed three runs, two earned, on six hits as the River Rats dropped a 3-2 decision to Leesburg. Vigue threw 103 pitches, 60 for strikes, while registering four strikeouts.

In three starts, Vigue is 0-2 with a 2.76 ERA. The Merritt Island, Fla., native has registered 12 strikeouts in 16.1 innings of work this summer allowing just five earned runs while holding opponents to a .190 batting average.

Vigue is the first Seminole to earn a weekly award this summer.
