TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State senior Scott Sitz and junior Marcus Davis claimed a spot on the 2013 American Baseball Coaches Association All-Atlantic Region teams as announced by the ABCA on Monday.

Sitz garnered first team accolades as a starting pitcher, while Davis earned second team honors as a designated hitter.

Sitz had a career year posting single-season highs for wins, starts, innings pitched and strikeouts. The right hander finished his senior campaign at 10-2 with a 2.09 ERA in 94.2 innings with 80 strikeouts in 16 starts. He is currently tied for fourth in the ACC in wins and ninth in innings pitched and strikeouts, while his ERA ranks as the fourth lowest in the league.

So far this year, the Jacksonville Beach, Fla., native has been named a third team All-American by Louisville Slugger, garnered first team All-ACC honors and is one of six finalists for the Gregg Olson Award presented to the 2013 `Breakout Player of the Year.'

In his first season at Florida State, Davis was one of just two Seminoles to play in all 64 games. He finished the year hitting .301 with 72 hits in 239 at-bats. Davis led the team with 62 RBI and 56 runs scored, while tying for the team lead with nine home runs. He finished second in doubles (20) and total hits.

Davis, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, was honored on the 2013 Tallahassee All-Regional team after hitting .333 (4-for-12) with three doubles, two walks, two runs scored and six RBI. The left handed swinging junior also led the team with 20 multi-RBI games, while collecting 19 multi-hit games on the year.
