TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Fifth-ranked Florida State (34-11) hits the road this weekend traveling up north to Chestnut Hill where the Noles face Boston College (26-20) in a three-game series beginning Friday, May 7.
FSU owns a 10-2 record against BC all-time. The Seminoles had won nine in a row in the series before the Eagles snapped the losing streak by taking 2-of-3 from the Garnet and Gold in Tallahassee last year. The Noles evened the season series defeating the Eagles 7-2 in the opening round game of the ACC Tournament in Durham. Last year, Boston College outscored Florida State 27-15 in taking 2-of-3 from the Seminoles in Tallahassee. The series victory snapped FSU's string of 17 consecutive series victories to open ACC play.
The road has been kind to the Seminoles in ACC play this year as FSU has won all three series thus far en route to a 7-2 record. The Noles are perfect in Chestnut Hill in two previous trips posting a 6-0 record and outscoring the Eagles 47-19. FSU is 5-0 against the Eagles in games decided by three runs or less.
