Florida State fans can help contribute to the relief effort for victims of last Wednesday's extensive tornado damage in Tuscaloosa, AL by visiting one of the sites listed below or by bringing specific items with them to the weekend baseball games against Central Florida.
Canopy Roads Baptist Church is leading an effort to collect toiletries, baby items, hand sanitizer, snack foods, drinks, sunscreen, pet products and tarps. Baseball fans can drop off any of these items at the gates of Dick Howser Stadium prior to any of the three UCF games which begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, 6:30 on Saturday and 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. Financial donations will not be accepted at the game but can be made through the church office at 925 Bannerman Road.
University of Alabama basketball coach Anthony Grant has set up "Sweet Home Fund" with all proceeds going to help Alabama families recover. Donations can be made to Bryant Bank, 1150 McFarland Blvd. North, Tuscaloosa, AL 35406, or by calling 205-464-4646.
The Tuscaloosa Disaster Relief Fund is accepting donations at www.givetuscaloosa.com or by mailing checks to Tuscaloosa Disaster Relief Fund, P.O. Box 020410, Tuscaloosa, AL 35402. You can also make a donation by phone by calling 205-758-7588.
The Red Cross is accepting donations by text. You can text REDCROSS to 90999 to give $10 to the Red Cross for disaster relief in Alabama.
