TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Tuesday night's game featuring sixth-ranked Florida State (28-9) and Charleston Southern (16-23) was postponed due to rain and lightning in the Tallahassee area.
The game was called initially due to lightning with two outs in the bottom of the third and the game tied at 5-5.
Fans are encouraged to hold on to their ticket stubs from Tuesday night's game if a make-up date is announced at a later time.
The second game of this mid-week series featuring the Seminoles and Buccaneers is set for 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21 on Mike Martin Field inside Dick Howser Stadium.
Wednesday night's game is also a special night as Seminole Baseball in conjunction with the Florida State University Department of Athletics and the ALS Association Florida Chapter is hosting ALS Awareness Night at the ball park.
Among many things surrounding the event, the game will feature a silent auction in which fans will be able to bid on a variety of items including: autographed baseball from former Seminoles, autographed memorabilia by members of the Philadelphia Phillies, an autograph hat by Buster Posey, a gift basket by Peterbrooke Chocolate and a gift package by Hampton Inn & Suites.
In honor of this special event, the Seminole players and coaches will wear special red jerseys for the game against the Buccaneers. Fans will then have a chance to bid on this authentic gear as the jerseys will be auctioned off for one week on Seminoles.com. The auction will begin Wednesday afternoon.
