TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Third baseman Jose Zabala knocked in Terry Henderson for the game-winning RBI with a line drive to third base as No. 12 Florida State (22-7, 5-0 ACC) pulled out a 6-5 win over No. 14 Duke (23-4, 3-3 ACC) in 10 innings at Dick Howser Stadium.

Righthander Scott Proctor (2-0) earned the win in relief as he struck out four batters in 2 1/3 innings as he helped FSU to its 11th straight victory. Proctor has yet to give up a hit or a run in relief.

Duke reliever Vaughn Schill (0-2) retired the side in the ninth inning, but loaded the bases for Zabala in the 10th. Schill gave up an unearned run on two walks in 1 1/3 innings of relief.

Duke jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second inning as second baseman J.D. Alleva ripped a basehit to score leftfielder Michael Fletcher. Catcher Gregg Maluchnik singled and scored on a ground ball by centerfielder Adam Geis for the Blue Devils second run.

Florida State answered in the bottom of the inning as shortstop Brett Groves belted a two-run home run to tie the score at 2-2. Duke regained the lead in the third inning as rightfielder Litrownik singled, advanced to second base on a passed ball and scored on a basehit by third baseman Jeff Becker.

Centerfielder Karl Jernigan walked, stole second and third base and scored on a wild pitch by Duke pitcher Chris Capuano. FSU took a 4-3 lead as Groves was hit by a pitch and scored on an error by Duke leftfielder Michael Fletcher. The Seminoles made the score 5-3 in the seventh as Zabala singled and scored on a basehit by catcher Jeremy Salazar.

Fletcher blasted a two-run home run off Wes Crawford in the eighth inning to tie the score at 5-5.

Crawford surrendered five runs on 10 hits and struck out three batters in 7 2/3 innings in a no-decision for FSU. Left-hander Chris Capuano pitched eight innings, giving up five runs on nine hits and striking out 11 batters for the Blue Devils.
