2013: Started 15 games and appeared in two others...went 7-2 with a 2.29 ERA over 98.1 innings pitched...held opponents to a .221 batting average...ranked 11th nationally in strikeouts (119) and strikeouts per nine innings (10.89)...also 13th nationally in strikeout-to-walk ratio (6.26)...ranked third in the ACC in strikeouts, sixth in ERA and seventh in innings pitched and opponent's batting average (.221)...named the Most Outstanding Player of the Tallahassee Regional after throwing a career-high eight innings and posting a career-high 14 strikeouts as he allowed only four hits and no walks vs. Troy in an 11-0 win on June 1...the 14 strikeouts were the most by a Seminole pitcher since Tyler Chambliss recorded 15 vs. Maryland on March 11, 2006...two of his first three appearances on the year were in relief, pitching an inning each vs. Rhode Island (2/15) and Villanova (3/1)...made five mid-week starts for the Seminoles posting wins against Jacksonville (2/20), Presbyterian (3/5) and at Florida (3/12)...against the Gators, went 6.1 innings, allowing one run (unearned) and three hits that lowered his ERA to 0.44 at the time...also had a no decision against the Gators in Jacksonville on March 26, pitching 6.0 innings, allowing one earned run on three hits while striking out nine in a game the Seminoles eventually won 2-1...made his first weekend start at Miami on April 5...in back-to-back starts against Wake Forest (4/26) and UCF (5/3), went 7.0 innings with nine strikeouts and no earned runs in each...worked 6.0 innings or more in 13 of 15 starts, including in each of his final seven starts...over his last seven starts, struck out at least eight batters in six outings...threw 90 or more pitches in each of his last 13 starts, including over 100 in seven and topping out at 115 vs. Troy on June 1...struck out at least nine batters in seven starts on the year...the Seminoles were 13-4 in games he pitched and 11-4 in games he started...made five starts for the U.S. Collegiate National Team over the summer...went 0-0 with a 2.14 ERA in 21.0 innings of work...allowed five earned runs on 20 hits as he walked five and struck out 17.
2012: Appeared in 16 games on the mound making six starts in his first season at Florida State...went 1-0 with one save and a 5.93 ERA...registered 40 strikeouts in 41.0 innings of work...made his first collegiate appearance and start against Jacksonville (2/21) but did not factor into the decision...first career win came against Stetson (3/21) in what was his best performance of the season...allowed just one unearned run on four hits as he walked one and struck out four over a career-high 7.0 innings in leading FSU to a 9-1 victory over the Hatters...first relief appearance of 0.2 innings came against Florida (3/27) in Jacksonville...tied a career-high with five strikeouts twice - first coming against Florida (4/10) in 2.2 innings and second against NC State (5/19)...earned two starts in ACC play - vs. Maryland and at Clemson...start against Maryland was his first collegiate start in the weekend rotation - did not factor into the decision working 3.0 plus innings allowing three runs, two earned, on four hits...longest relief outing covered 3.0 innings performed four times - at Boston College (4/15), Miami (4/21), NC State (5/19) and Arizona (6/21)...worked 3.0 scoreless innings in the series finale against NC State (5/19) allowing just one hit and tied a career-high with five strikeouts en route to earning his first career save...made his College World Series debut in the second game against Arizona...allowed three runs on five hits as he struck out two in 3.0 innings against the Wildcats...played summer ball with the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod League.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned second team Rawlings All-America and first team All-State honors as a senior...garnered first team All-Area accolades following both his sophomore and junior seasons...posted a 3-1 record with a 1.36 ERA as a sophomore at DeLand High School, followed with a 4-2 record and a 1.42 ERA as a junior...drafted in the 19th round by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2011 MLB Draft.
