2012: Appeared in 16 games on the mound making six starts in his first season at Florida State...went 1-0 with one save and a 5.93 ERA...registered 40 strikeouts in 41.0 innings of work...made his first collegiate appearance and start against Jacksonville (2/21) but did not factor into the decision...first career win came against Stetson (3/21) in what was his best performance of the season...allowed just one unearned run on four hits as he walked one and struck out four over a career-high 7.0 innings in leading FSU to a 9-1 victory over the Hatters...first relief appearance of 0.2 innings came against Florida (3/27) in Jacksonville...tied a career-high with five strikeouts twice - first coming against Florida (4/10) in 2.2 innings and second against NC State (5/19)...earned two starts in ACC play - vs. Maryland and at Clemson...start against Maryland was his first collegiate start in the weekend rotation - did not factor into the decision working 3.0 plus innings allowing three runs, two earned, on four hits...longest relief outing covered 3.0 innings performed four times - at Boston College (4/15), Miami (4/21), NC State (5/19) and Arizona (6/21)...worked 3.0 scoreless innings in the series finale against NC State (5/19) allowing just one hit and tied a career-high with five strikeouts en route to earning his first career save...made his College World Series debut in the second game against Arizona...allowed three runs on five hits as he struck out two in 3.0 innings against the Wildcats.
