HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterman at Merritt Island High School...named team Pitcher of the Year in both his sophomore and junior years, as well as MVP of his Merritt Island squad as a junior...helped his high school team reach the FHSAA Class 4A regional semifinals during his junior season...the southpaw was 10-1 with a 0.61 ERA in 2006...for his efforts as a junior, he earned first team All-Conference, All-Cape Coast and All-State honors...was also named All-Cape Coast as a sophomore...was on the honor roll all four years of high school...member of the Key Club and Future Business Leaders of American (FBLA).
