HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year varsity starting pitcher who spent his first three years at Bay High School before transferring to A.C. Mosley for his senior season...earned second team all-state honors as a pitcher in 5A...went 8-2 with a 1.84 ERA...recorded 94 strikeouts in 53.1 innings pitched during the regular season...named MVP of the North squad at the FACA All-Star game...posted a 5-2 record with a 1.01 ERA with 52 strikeouts in 33 innings as a junior in 2008...earned first team all-county and second team all-state honors as a pitcher at the 4A level...named Bay High's Offensive Player of the Year following the 2008 season...selected Scholar Athlete Award winner as a freshman with a 4.09 GPA in 2006... member of the National Honor Society and Beta Club.
