2011: One year after returning to the game following a two-year absence, Easterling is in the thick of the starting competition in the outfield and figures to play a more prominent role.
2010: Returned to the diamond for the first time since his 2007 senior season in high school, when he was the Mississippi Player of the Year...scholarship wide receiver on the FSU football team appeared in 23 games with one start...batted just .123 (3 for 23) in limited playing time...made his Florida State debut in the second game of the Georgia State series on the opening weekend...starting as the DH he posted back-to-back singles in his first two at-bats...his first collegiate RBI came in game 3 against the Panthers...registered his first pinch hit of the season in game 2 of the Maryland series - and RBI single in the sixth inning...selected in the 31st round of the 2010 MLB Draft by the Florida Marlins.
FOOTBALL - 2010: Capped a productive junior season with the game-clinching touchdown reception in the fourth quarter of the Chick-fi l-A Bowl win over South Carolina...made 13 starts and played in all 14 games for the 10-4 Seminoles...finished second on the team with a career-high 43 receptions...his 551 receiving yards were also a career-best and ranked third among `Noles...his career-high five touchdown receptions ranked second on the squad...ranks 20th on FSU career list with 108 receptions, to go along with 1,315 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.
2009: Started six games and played in 13...posted career-highs with two touchdowns, 442 receiving yards and 35 receptions as a sophomore...caught three passes for 33 yards in FSU's Gator Bowl victory over West Virginia.
2008: Played in 12 games making eight starts...ranked third on the team in catches (30) and yards (322) to lead all freshmen...finished the year with one touchdown reception.
HIGH SCHOOL: Rated as a three-star athlete by Rivals.com coming out of high school at Oak Grove...named to the "Dandy Dozen" as well as Mississippi's Mr. Baseball by the Clarion- Ledger...hit .455 with 13 home runs and 56 RBIs in leading Oak Grove to its ninth baseball state championship...earned national high school baseball All-America honors and was a member of the All-Region team in 2007...a two-time All-State honoree (2006-07) in baseball while earning All-State accolades in football in 2007...played in the 2007 Sun Belt Classic for Team Mississippi claiming Sun Belt MVP honors...graduated high school with a 3.3 GPA... selected in the 6th round of the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft by the Florida Marlins with the 196th overall pick.
