HIGH SCHOOL: Member of the varsity baseball team at Leon High School for four years...garnered first team All-Big Bend honors following his junior and senior seasons...posted a 5-5 record with a 1.80 ERA in 50 innings pitched and 65 strikeouts as a senior...went 8-2 with a 2.11 ERA during his junior year; struck out 60 in 52.0 innings pitched...graduated Cum Laude from Leon High School.
