Experienced junior left-hander in a battle to be the Sunday starter in the weekend rotation…started five games as a sophomore and went 4-2…also made 12 appearances in relief…his ERA of 3.35 ranked second on the team among pitcher with 20 or more innings pitched…got the win after working a season-high 7.1 innings against Duke (5/22) in the opening round of the ACC Tournament…struck out a season-high eight batters in seven scoreless innings of work in a win over Western Carolina.

2002 AS A SOPHOMORE: Started five games on the mound for the Seminoles...opened the season with seven strikeouts at Hawaii-Hilo (Jan. 28)...held opponents to one or fewer hits in six of his 17 appearances and didn’t allow a run in five of those outings...went seven innings and picked up victories vs. Jacksonville (April 10) and Western Carolina (2/ 27)...had his best outing of the season against Western Carolina…gave up three hits, struck out a season-high eight batters in seven scoreless innings of work...earned his fourth win of the season after working a season-high 7.1 innings against Duke (5/22) in the opening round of the ACC Tournament.

2001 AS A FRESHMAN: Named an honorable men-tion Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American after going 5-1 with a 3.16 ERA…tied for fourth on the team with nine starts…also made seven relief appearances …picked up a victory and totaled a season-high 10 strikeouts in six innings of work against Mercer (3/ 28)…last start of the season was his best, recording his first career complete game in a win over Wake Forest in the ACC Tournament (5/19)…gave up one earned run and struck out eight Demon Deacons.

PREP: Recorded a 10-1 mark as a senior at Florida High with a 1.13 ERA…totaled 134 strikeouts in just 74.2 innings…also picked up two saves on the year… named the FACA District 2 Player of the Year…member of the FACA a l l -s t a r team… an a l l -s t a t e selection as a junior and a senior…named all Big Bend as a junior and a senior…voted Florida High’s most outstanding pitcher in 1998, 1999 and 2000.
