2007: Appeared in 51 games this season, starting as the designated hitter in nine...made the start at third base in game of the Boston College series...registered 22 hits in 74 at-bats good for a .297 batting average...tallied five doubles and a season-best 17 RBI...hit his first collegiate home run vs. Duke...reached base five times in 17 at-bats in leading off an inning...posted career-highs in runs and hits against Siena...tied his career-high for hits against Wake Forest...led the team with four pinch hits on the season...recorded multiple RBI games against Appalachian State (2), NC State (2), Maryland (2) and Georgia Tech (2)...was second on the team with eight hit-by-pitches...played at both second and third base this year...hit .310 in league play appearing in 28 games and making five starts...smashed a double in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional against Stetson in an elimination game to drive in a run.
2006: Outside of freshman All-American Buster Posey, no first-year player had a bigger impact at the plate...second among all freshmen with 48 games played...also made nine starts...his 11 RBI and 13 total bases were the second most among freshmen...tied for the team lead as he was hit by a pitch 10 times in just 47 at bat...hit by a pitch at a higher percentage compared to plate appearances than any Seminole in school history...drew 13 walks as well...his .486 on base percentage was the highest on the team among players with more than one at bat...reached base almost 54% of the time when leading off an inning, the highest percentage on the team...hit .333 as a pinch hitter...advanced runners successfully 50% of the time he had an opportunity...played in 20 games and made eight starts...posted a .406 on-base percentage in conference games...in 24 at-bats he drew three walks and was hit by five pitches...advanced runners successfully 55% of the time and brought a runner home from third three times in three chances with less than two outs in an inning.
HIGH SCHOOL: FSSWA All-State honorable mention in 2004 and 2005...All-Big Bend first team in 2004 and 2005...hit .421 his senior year with eight doubles, three home runs and 17 RBI...appeared in all 28 games in 2005...named Chiles' Offensive MVP in 2004 and defensive MVP in 2003...led Chiles in batting (.438) and on-base percentage in 2004 (.610) and on-base percentage in 2003 (.536)...hit .438, slugged .685 and drove in 25 runs in 2004...in 73 at-bats, Oravetz hit 11 doubles, two triples and one homer and struck out just 10 times...scored 30 runs and was on base 61% of the time...also swiped seven bases and drew 14 walks...member of the National Honor Society...garnered a 4.0 GPA in high school.
