JOHNS RIVER CC: Helped the Vikings reach the FJCAA Tournament for the first time in two decades... coming off Tommy John surgery which led to a medical redshirt in 2009, Nolan went 3-7 with a 6.43 ERA...logged 63 innings in 15 appearances and recorded 45 strikeouts...as a freshman the left-hander posted a 6-5 mark with a 5.22 ERA in 2008... logged 69 innings on 16 appearances and registered 61 strikeouts. HIGH SCHOOL: Capped a four-year varsity career at Salem by going 8-0 with an 0.90 ERA...led his team to the state championship as a sophomore. PERSONAL: Son of Kevin and Karlene Nolan...father played college football at Northeastern in Boston, Mass....is the only New Hampshire native on the team...has a brother (Sean) and sister (Kelly)...signed with FSU in the fall of 2009...majoring in sociology...enjoys playing golf, basketball and ping pong...was a teammate of Wil Breton at SJRCC...born September 24, 1988. |
