2014: Senior right hander made 17 appearances for the Noles in 2014, including seven starts...finished with a 3-4 record and 5.14 ERA with one save...in his season debut at Jacksonville (2/18), allowed five runs on six hits over two innings as he did not factor into the decision...recovered from that outing against the Dolphins with a career-high and Seminole season-high 11 strikeouts in just 5.0 innings of work at USF (3/4) to pick-up his first win of the season...in two mid-week starts against Florida (3/18 & 3/25), allowed four earned runs combined over 10.1 innings and suffered the loss both times...entered in relief against Jacksonville (4/15) for his second win of the season, throwing two perfect innings against the Dolphins...came straight off the bench after starter Luke Weaver left against No. 1 Virginia (4/27) due to an injury, allowing only one run on one hit while striking out four in 3.0 innings of work...against Minnesota (5/3), picked up his first career save, striking out both batters he faced in a 3-2 Seminole victory...notched win third win of the season at Stetson (5/6) throwing 3.0 scoreless innings in relief as he held the Hatters to just two hits as he finished with four strikeouts...recorded multiple strikeouts in 12 of his 17 appearances...left Florida State with a 14-8 record, one save and a 4.09 ERA with 137 strikeouts in 145.1 innings of work...drafted in the ninth round (261st overall pick) of the 2014 MLB Draft by the Seattle Mariners.
2013: Started 13 games and made one relief appearance during his junior season...posted a 6-2 record with a 3.55 ERA...scattered 28 runs - 23 earned - over 58.1 innings of work...registered 47 strikeouts and allowed 21 walks...set single-season career-highs in wins, innings pitched and strikeouts...was a member of the weekend rotation for the first half of the year...put together a 19.0 scoreless innings streak over four appearances against USF (2/24), Villanova (3/3), Boston College (3/10) and Maryland (3/17) as he went 3-0 over that stretch...set a new career-high in strikeouts with eight over 5.1 innings against Villanova (3/3)...went 6.0 innings or more in three straight starts - South Alabama (4/16), at Jacksonville (4/23) and at Stetson (5/7)...earned the win in all three of those starts and set a new career-high in innings pitched with 7.0 against Jacksonville...registered at least one strikeout in every appearance...came out of the bullpen to pitch 0.2 innings against Indiana (6/8) in the NCAA Super Regional...allowed only six walks over his final six appearances - a span of 24.2 innings.
2012: Made 10 starts with four relief appearances during his sophomore campaign...finished the year 5-2 with a 3.89 ERA...allowed just 18 earned runs in 41.2 innings of work while striking out 36...opened the season in the weekend rotation making his first career start against Hofstra...first career win came in his second start as he yielded just one hit in 5.0 scoreless innings against FIU...allowed just one run over a span of three starts against FIU, Maine and at Duke...picked up wins in all three of those starts as he worked 5.0 innings in each start...struck out a career-high five in three starts (Maine, Duke and Virginia Tech)...longest career start came on the road at Georgia Tech as he worked 6.0 innings in an 8-4 FSU victory...allowed just two runs on four hits as he walked one and struck out four against the Yellow Jackets...worked 4.1 scoreless innings in relief in game one of a doubleheader at Clemson...allowed just one hit and walked three while striking out two Tigers...threw a scoreless inning in relief versus Arizona in the second game against the Wildcats at the College World Series...played over the summer with the Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod League.
2011: Two-way player for Florida State...hit .571 collecting four hits in seven plate appearances...registered a double, scored a run and picked up three RBI... recorded an RBI double in his first collegiate at-bat in the season opener against VMI...followed with another base hit in the series finale against the Cadets...picked up an RBI on base hits against Hofstra and Maine...was perfect from the field in nine opportunities collecting six assists...made four appearances on the mound working a combined 3.1 innings allowing just one hit while recording a strike out...worked a season-high 1.0 inning twice including in his debut against VMI in the series finale...recorded his first strikeout in 0.2 innings against Wake Forest...threw 0.2 innings at Virginia as he did not allow a hit or run while issuing one walk.
HIGH SCHOOL: Enjoyed a stellar high school career, earning first team FSWA 1A All-State honors...started at shortstop when he wasn't on the mound...selected in the 38th round by the New York Mets in the 2010 MLB Draft...captured the Wade Boggs Award as a senior...winner of the Sunshine Classic Cy Young Award...lost in 1A state semifinal to Lake Worth Trinity Christian in 2010...team captain and proven winner, helping team to state runner-up finish in 2008 and 2009.
