The No. 1 starter on what is expected to be a very strong Seminole staff...a preseason first team Collegiate Baseball All-American...has a fastball in the upper-80s as well as a good curve and changeup in his repertoire...pitched for Team USA following the 1998 season and recorded a 2-0 record with two saves.

1999 AS A SOPHOMORE: Named to the All-ACC second team and a third team NCBWA All-American...spent most of the year as FSU's No. 1 weekend starter...hurled 7.2 scoreless innings and struck out 11 in an 8-0 win over Clemson on 4/9... fanned nine batters in six shutout innings against UNC Asheville as the opening day starter...struck out a season-high 11 batters in 6.1 innings of a no-decision vs. Arizona State on 2/5...one of his two losses came against Wichita State on 3/5 despite striking out nine batters...did not give up an earned run in 7.0 innings and struck out eight against UVA on 3/12...got the win at NC State, going 6.0 innings and giving up three earned runs...gave up two earned runs in 6.1 innings in win over UNC...had an impressive 7.2 inning performance vs. Clemson on 4/9, giving up just three hits and no runs, while matching a career-best for strikeouts (11)...picked up FSU's only victory against Miami on 4/16 in a 7.1 inning, two earned run outing...took the loss at Georgia Tech (4/30), despite giving up just three runs in a complete game 8.0 inning start...won his eighth game of the season at Maryland (5/7) as he gave up two earned runs in 5.2 innings...matched a season-best with an 8.0 inning outing vs. Maryland in the ACC Tournament ...gave up just one earned run on four hits while striking out five in Durham...allowed just two earned runs in 7.2 innings of work vs. Auburn (6/5) in a no-decision...took the loss against Stanford (6/14) in the CWS after giving up five earned runs in 4.1 innings... started against Stanford in game five of the CWS and worked 6.0 innings while giving up three earned runs and striking out five in a no-decision.

1998 AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN: Garnered 2nd Team All-ACC honors...also a Collegiate Baseball/TPX and Sporting News Freshman All-American...earned second-team Freshman All-America honors from Baseball America... hurled 8.0 innings and struck out six batters in a 10-7 win over Liberty in the NCAA Regional...reached the 100 strikeout season mark vs. Liberty...pitched 3.1 innings of a no-decision vs. UNC on 5/15...gave up seven runs on three hits and four walks vs. the Tar Heels... struck out eight in 7.1 IP in a 5-4 win over Virginia on 5/9 ...held No. 1 Miami to one run on four hits in six innings pitched in a win over the Hurricanes ...recorded a no-decision vs. Clemson on 4/25 as he struck out nine batters in 7 2/3 innings...earned ACC Pitcher of the Week as he fanned eight batters in 8.0 IP and held Ga. Tech to one run in an 8-3 win on 4/18...struck out six in a no-decision vs. North Carolina on 4/10... gave up five runs on 11 hits in the outing...broke a string of six wins with a loss vs. Miami on 4/3...surrendered nine runs (five earned) on six hits in five innings of work... struck out six and walked a season-high eight batters vs. the Hurricanes... fanned six, but gave up five runs on 11 hits in 6.0 IP vs. UNC in a no-decision on 4/10... struck out a career-high 12 batters in a complete-game win over Wake Forest on 3/14...fanned 10 and allowed just one hit in seven innings against Maryland on 3/27...held The Citadel to two runs on six hits in five innings in his first career start on 2/25...struck out six and surrendered just one run on three hits in 7.0 IP in a victory over Duke on 3/21.

1997 AS A FRESHMAN: Redshirted due to "Tommy John" surgery on his right arm.
