2007: Had an outstanding freshman season as he finished the year as one of two Seminole relievers to post an ERA of below 3.00...posted a 2-0 record with a 2.94 ERA in 21 appearances...made his collegiate debut against Tennessee pitching 0.2 of an inning...gave up 28 hits in 33.2 innings of work...went six appearances without giving up a run twice in 2007, one a span of six innings, the other a span of 11 innings...held right handed hitters to a .213 batting average...pitched 3.1 innings against Miami to pick up his first collegiate seven games, including four of his last five to close out the season, pitched at least two innings or more...registered his first collegiate victory against Georgia Tech as he threw 4.1 shutout innings in relief...he also struck out five batters in the win...recorded his second win of the season throwing 2.2 innings of shutout baseball in FSU's 6-2 win over Bethune-Cookman in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional...set career-highs in innings pitched (4.2), hits allowed (8) and strikeouts (6) in his final outing against Mississippi State in the Tallahassee Regional...went 1-0 with a 2.93 ERA in ACC play...pitched in 10 games throwing 15.1 innings posting 15 strikeouts while walking just three batters.

HIGH SCHOOL: 2006 FSWA 5A First Team All-State as a pitcher...Lakeland Ledger's 2006 Player of the Year...New Chief Player of the Year...FACA District 12 MVP...hit .471 with four home runs and 29 RBIs...went 10-4 on the hill with a 1.49 ERA and 156 strikeouts in 94 innings of work...threw a no-hitter versus Kathleen High School...won all three regional games to lead Winter Haven to the state semifinals...2005 FSWA 4A All-State third team...was 5-2 as a starter and also recorded one save in 2005...posted a 2.21 ERA with 79 strikeouts in 39 innings of work...hit .396 with three home runs and 31 RBIs for the Blue Devils as a finished as state runner-up for the second year in a row...2005 IBC High School Player of the Year...rated one of Florida's top recruits by and 2006 Blue Devil Classic All-Tournament Team...graduated from Winter Haven with high honors and a 3.9 GPA...drafted in the 2006 MLB Draft by the San Francisco Giants in the 32nd round with the 956th pick.
