At Florida State: Sophomore regarded as one of the nation's top hitters...will move from third base to right field this season...led the 2003 team with a .371 batting average in his first year...named a preseason second team All-American by Baseball America...received freshmen All-America honors last year from Collegiate Baseball.

Freshman Year (2003): Earned Collegiate Baseball Freshmen All-America honors at third base...hampered by a hamstring injury during the second half of the season...finished third in the ACC with a .608 slugging percentage and a .462 on base percentage...was second in the conference with a .371 batting average and 10th with 15 doubles...went 5-for-13 (.385) in the Evansville series...had three hits in game two vs. Charleston Southern on 3/2...hit a three-run double to help spark an FSU comeback at Florida (3/10) that fell one run short...went 2-for-4 with two runs and a double against St. Joseph's (3/11)...hit two home runs against Virginia (3/14) in his first career ACC game...hit a solo home run in the bottom of the 8th inning against Virginia (3/16) to tie the game at 4-4 (FSU went on to win 5-4)...went 3-for-4 with two runs, one RBI, two doubles and a home run against The Citadel (3/26)...had two homers at Miami...started as the DH in the Friday game vs. Miami (4/25) and re-injured his hamstring after grounding out in his first at bat of the series...pinch-hit in three games at Maryland, going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI...named to the NCAA All-Regional Team as a DH, going 5-for-11 with three RBI...went 2-for-5 with an RBI in game one against Texas (6/8) in the Super Regional.

Prep: Had a batting average of .550 with 12 home runs and 25 stolen bases as a senior...ranked as one of the Top 30 prep players nationally by Baseball America as a senior...hit .475 with nine home runs and 17 stolen bases as a junior...named to the All-State team his junior and senior seasons...honored as the Dade County Player of the Year following his senior of three outfielders selected to Florida's All-State team...hit a double with the bases loaded to win the District 2A Championship in Miami, Fla. and also earned the win as a pitcher in the same game...drafted in the 3rd round of the 2002 MBL Draft by the Seattle Mariners...rated as the second best hitting prospect in the country in 2002...invited by the Florida Marlins to play in the East Coast Professional Baseball Showcase.
