2006: One of the top freshman hurlers for FSU who played a key role out of the bullpen and started two games as well...the only freshman to start a game for Florida State in 2006...led all first-year players in ERA...combined on one shutout...did not allow a run in 11 of his 19 appearances...recorded at least one strikeout in 14 of his 19 games...both lefties and righties hit below .300 versus the freshman...teams hit just .250 off him with runners on base...pitched in 11 ACC games, second-most on the team...only All-Americans Tyler Chambliss, Bryan Henry and Luke Tucker had lower ERA's in ACC games in 2006...only freshman to start a conference game...held ACC opponents to a .279 batting average...conference batters hit just .212 versus Marshall with runners on base...averaged more than two strikeouts for ever walk he issued...recorded at least one strikeout in nine of his 11 appearances.
