1999 AS A FRESHMAN: Played in 55 games while starting 30...led the team with a .436 batting aver-age in 1999...established a new single sea-son school record for the highest batting average (126-199 at bats)...the only Seminole to be named to the ACC All-Tournament team after hitting .583 (7-for-12) with two RBI...belted a career-high four hits and drove in a career-high three runs vs. Mercer on 3/30... blasted his first career home run against Clemson on 4/9...knocked in three runs on a base-clearing double vs. Jacksonville on 4/14... contributed a pair of hits vs. Florida on 2/28...singled and scored the game-winning run in a 10th inning victory vs. North Carolina on 3/27...went 3-for-5 at Miami on 4/23 with three runs and two RBI...a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs scored in FSU's 26-2 win over Maryland with a key hit that allowed Marshall McDougall to get an extra at bat...picked up two hits vs. Georgia Tech and three hits vs. Wake Forest in the ACC Tournament... knocked in a career-high five runs against The Citadel (5/28)...went 2-for-4 in Super Regional vs. Auburn (6/5)...had at least one hit in all five CWS appearances... finished 7-for-14 with six runs scored and four RBI in his first trip to Omaha.
