2007: Made four appearances as a junior all as a relief pitcher...pitched in two non-conference wins and in one conference game against Clemson...pitched a scoreless inning in the ACC Tournament against Miami allowing no hits while striking out one...pitched a season-high 1.0 inning twice in 2007...his appearance against Hofstra on February 18 was his first since the end of the 2005 season as he underwent Tommy John surgery and did not see any action while recovering from the process in 2006...tied a career-high with three strikeouts in an inning of work vs. Hofstra...closed out the season throwing 1.1 shutout innings of no hit ball.

2006: Did not see any action in 2006 due to recovery from Tommy John surgery.

2005: Appeared in 10 games with each of his trips to the mound coming in relief...Florida State had a 6-4 record in games which Jarvis earned pitching time...pitched in a victory over Duke, against Clemson and Wake Forest...allowed only four earned runs in his 10 appearances...did not allow a home run in any of his 10 appearances...posted a 2:1 strikeout to walk ratio with eight strikeouts and only four walks...averaged more K's per nine innings than any pitcher on the FSU staff in 1.0 innings pitched against four teams.

HIGH SCHOOL: First team All-Area and third team all-state as a senior...second team All-Area his sophomore and junior seasons...went 5-1 as a sophomore and also hit .383...went 7-3 with a 2.36 ERA as a senior...threw a three-hitter and allowed one run against Tate High School in the first round of the District Playoffs...recorded a complete game with nine strikeouts and only allowed two hits to give his team the second seed of the district tournament...hit .343 with 27 stolen bases and two home runs...named Athlete of the Week for football in September of his senior year by local television station WEAR in Pensacola, Fla.

PERSONAL: Son of Gary and Pamela Tyler played baseball at Pensacola Junior College...two-time member ACC Academic Honor Roll (2003-04, 2006-07)...major is exercise science...born on March 13, 1985.
