2009: A Brooks Wallace Award Preseason Watch List candidate.

2008: Second team Freshman All-American by the NCBWA...named to the Brooks Wallace Award Revised Watch List for National Player of the Year...finished the season with the second most walks in the nation at 64...drew a walk in 13 consecutive games and in 44 of 68 games...drew two or more walks in 17 games while posting a career-high three walks three times...also ranked nationally in walks per game (6th), runs scored (t-7th) and runs per game (28th)...ranked among the top 10 in the ACC in walks (2nd), runs scored (2nd) and on-base percentage (8th)...only one of two Seminoles to play and start in all 68 games...everyday starter in center field...reached base in every game during the regular season - a span of 55 straight games, the second longest streak in school history...team leader with seven sacrifice hits and 11 total sacrifices on the year...had a fantastic postseason hitting .462 (19-for-41) in 10 games...registered 15 runs, 10 walks and an on-base percentage of .593...named to the NCAA Tallahassee All-Regional team as he hit .667 (14-for-21) with two doubles, six RBI and 11 runs scored...posted two five-hit games, the only Seminole to reach the five-hit plateau in 2008...the first came against Boston College - 5-for-5 with three singles, two doubles, a career-high three RBI and two runs scored...first Seminole since Tony McQuade (4/20/03) to record a perfect day at the plate...went 5-for-6 against Tulane in the championship game of the Tallahassee Regional...finished the season with 16 multiple hit games...tied a career-high with three RBI in the middle game against Georgia Tech...led all Seminoles in stolen bases with 15...stole home to break a 2-2 tie in the top of the seventh in a win at Jacksonville...hit the first Seminole home run of the season - a solo shot over the fence in right center on opening day against Duquesne...also hit a home run against Stetson and North Carolina...registered his first career walk-off hit sending a chopper down the line at third to score Luke Smierciak for the game-winning run in the bottom of the 10th against Virginia...scored the game-winning run in a come-from-behind victory in the top of the ninth at Stetson on April 30...hit .444 in two games at the College World Series...collected three hits in the final game of the season against Miami...finished the year with 28 hits and 14 RBI in two-out situations...posted a percentage rate of .461 when reaching base as the lead off batter...hit a team-high .750 (6-for-8) with the bases loaded.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four-year letterwinner and starter at Gainesville High School...was named third team All-State as a freshman, second team All-State as a junior and earned first team All-State honors as a sophomore and senior...had a remarkable senior season as he hit .608 with six home runs, 42 RBI, and 32 stolen bases...was a member of the Spanish Honor Society and National Honor Society...finished high school with a 3.6 GPA and a weighted GPA of 3.92...also played two seasons of football including one-year on the varsity team.
