HIGH SCHOOL: Earned All-Gateway Conference honors as a junior and senior...two-time All-First Coast by the Florida Times Union...named first team All-First Coast as a junior...team MVP...earned All-State honors as a junior...hit .461 with four homers, 10 doubles and 30 walks...although recruited as a third baseman, played short in high school and committed just two errors in 161 innings...also went 4-0 with one save on the hill...led the city in doubles as a sophomore...participated in the state High School Power Showcase Home Run Derby... tabbed as the number one pro prospect as a senior from the Jacksonville area in 2006 by the Florida Times Union.
