2005: Florida State's top set-up man pitched
in a single-season career-high 39 games...recorded
career-bests for ERA (2.76), innings pitched (42.1),
strikeouts (44) and victories (one)...had the team's
fourth-best ERA and third-best opponent batting
average (.217)...finished eight games (second on
the team) and struck out 20 batters looking (third on
the team)...third among pitchers with more than six
innings of work for K's per nine innings...the only
FSU pitcher on the Seminoles' post-season roster
who did not allowed a homerun in 2005...Florida
State earned victories in 25 of DiBlasi's 39 appearances...
outstanding strikeout to walk ratio of nearly
3.1:1 with 44 strikeouts and only 14 walks issued...
tied for second in the ACC and sixth nationally with
39 appearances...fifth in the ACC for appearances
in conference games... had the third best opponent
batting average on the Seminole staff (.217) and
third best opponent batting average against righthanded

SOPHOMORE YEAR (2004): An emerging
left-hander who improved on almost all his numbers
from his freshman campaign...appeared in more
games (24 versus 14) and lowered his ERA from
5.14 as a freshman to 3.85 last season...his 3.85
ERA was the third-lowest among the staff and he
shared the team lead with one combined shutout
...only four hurlers had more appearances than
DiBlasi in 2004...opponents hit just .257 off the
sophomore in 2004...was third on the team with
two saves...an excellent fielding pitcher who posted
a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in seven
chances...tied for fourth on the team with six games
finished...picked off the second-most runners of any
FSU pitcher in 2004...only three Seminole hurlers
did a better job against opponents with runners on
as DiBlasi held batters to just a .250 average...had
the team's fifth best opponent batting average
against lefties at .255...no Seminole regular did
better at closing out an inning as DiBlasi limited
opponents to just a .156 average with two outs in a
frame giving up just five hits in 32 at bats...posted a
strikeout to walk ratio of 2.2 to 1.
FRESHMAN YEAR (2003): Worked a scoreless
inning of relief vs. Siena (3/4), striking out
two...went one inning without giving up a hit or a
run vs. St. Joseph's (3/12) ...pitched one scoreless
inning vs. Wake Forest (4/5) and did not allow a
hit, striking out one and walking one...struck out two
in a scoreless inning of relief vs. Clemson (4/11)...
pitched a scoreless inning of relief at Duke (5/17)...
worked a scoreless inning of relief vs. Rutgers
(NCAA Regional) on 5/31...allowed two runs on
two hits against Texas (6/8) in game one of the
Super Regional.

High School...named first team All-County and All-
Suncoast as a senior...a second team All-County as
a junior as he led the county with a 0.99 ERA...
