Cory Couture joined the Florida State Sports Medicine staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in September of 2011. He is responsible for working with the Seminole baseball and men's golf teams. Prior to arriving in Tallahassee, Couture served as Head Athletic Trainer at Loyola University in New Orleans for four years. Before moving to New Orleans, La., he completed a year internship with the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League. Couture graduated from Florida State University in 2006 with a master's degree in Sports Administration. While pursuing his degree, he also worked as a Graduate Assistant for two years with the FSU football team. Couture received his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology/Athletic Training from Louisiana State University in 2004. During his time as an undergraduate student, he spent four years working in the LSU Athletic Training Program as an Athletic Training Student. Couture also worked two pre-season internships with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the summer of 2002 and 2003. A native of Patterson, La., Couture and his wife Ana were married in July of 2011. |
