High School: Went 4-4 with a 1.80 ERA as a senior...named All-District, All-Region, All-County and All-Sun Coast as a junior...also named honorable mention All-State...went 7-3 with a 1.26 ERA as junior...played at Tropicana Field for the Perfect Game National Showcase...struck out 14 batters including the first nine he faced and only allowed two hits against East Bay in the Tony Saladino tournament in the spring of 2003 in Tampa, FL.
