2005: Drafted in the 38th round of the 2005 MLB draft by the Colorado Rockies... second on the team with 15 starting assignments but was moved to the bullpen at the end of the season...had seven relief appearances in his last eight outings...posted a 4-4 record on the season...led FSU with 74 strikeouts including 31 batters struck out looking... named ACC Pitcher of the Week after pitching 7.2 innings and not allowing an earned run in a win over Clemson...one of three Seminole pitchers to earn ACC Pitcher of the Week honors (April 4)...tied for second on the team in innings pitched with 89.0 and was tied for third in innings per appearance...was fourth on the team with a .214 opponent batting average when runners were on base... held left-handed opposing batters to just a .250 average on the season...fourth on the team with 24 appearances...led all FSU starters in strikeouts per nine innings...his 3.54 ERA was the fifth best on the team...tied for eighth in the ACC for games started and ranked 10th in conference games with 7.49 SO/G...Florida State was 5-3 in Browning's eight ACC starts...was 3-1 in Friday night starts during the regular season...allowed only 12 runs in the first nine starts of his FSU career ...in those first nine starts, Browning never allowed more than three runs and in five of those starts he surrendered either one or no runs...had at least five strikeouts in four starts including a career-high 11 in a no-decision against Hawaii-Hilo...a 2:1 ratio of strikeouts to walks as a relief pitcher with 10 strikeouts and five walks allowed...zero runs allowed in eight of his 14 appearances (nine in relief and five starting assignments) against NCAA Tournament teams.
