Freshman Jose Brizuela goes 3-for-3 with three runs, three walks and five RBI.

HIGH SCHOOL:
* A four-year varsity letterman in baseball at Pensacola Catholic High School
* Named a Max Prep All-American after finishing his high school career with a 36-7 record
* A three-time first team All-Area honoree (2009-11) and second team All-Area honoree as a freshman.
* Earned Pensacola Pitcher of the Year accolades after finishing his senior campaign with a 12-2 record and a 1.52 ERA with 115 strikeouts in 70 innings.
* Posted ERA's of 2.20 and 1.81 as a sophomore and junior, respectively.
