This is the second consecutive year Karen Harvey is honored as both the ACC and South Region Coach of the Year.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – For the second consecutive year, women’s cross country head coach Karen Harvey has been named the South Region Coach of the Year.

After leading her team to back-to-back ACC and South Region Championship titles, Harvey has made tremendous strides in her two years at Florida State. In just her second stint as the women’s head coach, Harvey coached five top ten runners  at the ACC title meet and four top ten runners at regionals while also having junior Susan Kuijken (Nijmegen, Netherlands) take ACC Performer of the Week twice.

The No.3 undefeated women’s cross country team now has the chance to finish off the season with a perfect record as they travel to Terre Haute, Ind., to compete at the 2008 Cross Country NCAA Championships on Monday, November 24^th.
