Cross Country Picked Top 10

Seminoles coming off a pair of season-opening victories

The Track & Field News released its 2009 cross country predictions in the October issue and pegged both the men and women as top 10 squads. The women were picked No. 4 with senior Susan Kuijken claiming the individual title, while the men were predicted to finish 10th.

Women
4. Florida State
The majority of the team returns from last year's No. 3 squad. Pasca Cheruiyot (66th) transfers in from Missouri State to give backup strength to favored Susan Kuijken.

Individual
Susan Kuijken
After 3rd as a soph and 2nd as a junior, the Seminoles' Dutch star is ready for the top rung. She made a big 1500 breakthrough this summer with a 4:05.86.

Men 10. Florida State
The Seminoles could surprise as Ciaran O'Lionaird (Michigan) and Jared Bell (Yale) transfer in, while Colorado 5K runner-up Wes Rickman (15:29.50) joins as a frosh with talent for the future.
