Junior co-captain for the Seminoles is coming off an outstanding 2010 cross country season...a fierce competitor who was the No. 4 scorer for FSU in four major events, including the NCAA Cross Country Championships, where the `Noles were national runner-ups...entering the season off his strong outdoor track campaign.

Cross Country - 2010: Capped an outstanding sophomore season by finishing 59th at the NCAA Championships, posting a 10k cross country personal best of 30:40...was FSU's No. 4 scorer and the seventh ACC athlete across the finish line...earned All-ACC honors with his 13th-place finish, helping the Seminoles capture their first league championship, posting an 8k time of 24:09.5...was instrumental in the Seminoles' third-place finish - out of 35 teams - at Pre-Nationals with Rickman 34th in 24:15...opened the major portion of the schedule with a 19th place finish at Notre Dame Invitational in 24:17 as the `Noles placed third out of 21 teams. 2009: Enjoyed an outstanding freshman campaign as a major contributor for the `Noles...was in the lineup at the NCAA Championships after earning All-South Region honors with a 23rd-place finish (31:10.50), where he was the first freshman across the line...earned ACC Freshman of the Year honors at the conference championship meet, finishing 20th in 24:16.6 for the third-place Seminoles...competed at Pre-Nationals on the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute, Ind., where he was 70th (24:47)...made his first major meet debut for FSU at Notre Dame Invitational, placing 33rd (24:24) in the 8k event...earned All-ACC Academic team honors.

Track - 2011: Qualified for the NCAA First Round in the 10,000 meters outdoors, where he posted a solid 29:49.45 in the preliminary round...posted a collegiate best time in the 5,000 meters at Stanford's Payton Jordan Invitational in 13:59.32...placed in two events at the ACC Outdoor Championships, contributing to the Seminoles' seventh consecutive team title...was third in the 10,000 meters in a personal best 29:45.06 after finishing eighth in the 5,000 in 14:11.38...highlight of the indoor season came in the opening Razorback Invitational where he carved out a personal best in the 3,000 meters (8:11.24). 2010: Posted a season best time of 14:35.81 in the 5,000 meters at the Stanford Invitational...competed in the ACC Outdoor Championships, finishing 12th in the 5,000...closed out the spring season with a personal best 3:55.86 in the 1,500 meters at the Seminole Twilight.

Had a brilliant career at Colorado's Falcon High in both cross country and track...as a senior, helped his team to the 4A state cross country team with the fastest average time among all classifications...selected to the All-Colorado cross country teams from 2007-2009...captured the two-mile Colorado state title in 9:15...was a two-time Indoor All-American in the 3,200 meters (2008-2009)...earned outdoor All-American honors in the two-mile with a personal best 8:56.

An exercise science major at Florida State...nicknamed Wes-boss and "The Goat" by his teammates, in a nod to his strength as a hill runner...plays 3rd Chair jazz flute in the 8th Honorary Symphony...the son of Mark and Carrie Rickman...born March 10, 1991.
