Shannon O'Brien
	Last College: Keene State Position: Women's Operations Assistant

Shannon O'Brien enters her second year as operations assistant and meet director for the Florida State University women's cross country and track & field teams. Her primary responsibilities include home meet management and assisting head coach Karen Harvey with the management and implementation of the walk-on Strider program. Other duties include planning and hosting on campus recruiting visits and other administrative assignments.

O'Brien came to Florida State from Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H. where she spent two years assisting the men's and women's track and cross country teams. Her main duties included recruitment, supplemental training and mentoring student-athletes.

O'Brien received her Bachelor's degree in English from Keene State College in Keene, N.H., where she was a standout performer and two-year captain for the Owls' cross country and track teams. She earned Division III All-American honors in the 800 meters. She is studying for her master's degree in sport management at FSU.
