Senior and second-year Seminole who has built on a solid finish during outdoor season and is poised to factor in top seven this season...chosen as one of three captains for the 2013 cross country season.

Cross Country

2012: Toed the line in five meets in his first season at Florida State...turned in his swiftest 8k performance at Louisville Invitational/Pre-Nationals (24:46.7) as the Seminoles' No. 6 finisher...was sixth `Nole across the finish line at Notre Dame Invitational (24:47)...placed 43rd at ACC Championship meet (25:02.9) as No. 8 finisher...finished fourth among Seminoles in win at Covered Bridge Open and was No. 6 FSU runner in Virginia Tech Invitational/Pre-ACC meet triumph.

Track & Field

2013: Outdoor - competed in four outdoor meets primarily in the 10,000 meters, where he registered a career-best time of 30:15.39 at the Stanford Invitational...narrowly missed scoring at the ACC Outdoor Championships when he place ninth in 30:54.35...opened the season with a win at the UNF Spring Break Invitational in the 5000 (14:51.84). Indoor - placed fifth in the 3000m (8:31.59) at the Samford Invitational in his only competition.


Attended Cowley (Kan.) Community College after graduating from Santaluces High...was a five-time All-American at Cowley between cross country, half marathon, indoor and outdoor seasons...helped team win first two national titles in program history...individual highlight was his seventh-place finish at NJCAA Cross Country Nationals with an 8k PR of 24:18...transferred to Oklahoma for sophomore season...competed for the Sooners in cross country and track during the 2011-12 school year...majoring in sociology...born June 28, 1990.
