FSU raised over $800.

Dec. 13, 2010

Last week, Florida State track & field staff members and student-athlete helped raise money for the 6th Annual Salvation Army Adopt a Family.

The Men and women combined to raise $815 in total as well as eight bikes and helmets. Each event group (men's sprints, women's sprints, throwers, jumpers, striders, men's distance & women's distance) also "adopted" a child.

The goal was to raise $100 for each group/child, which the Seminoles did and then some.

“This is a terrific charity and one that we have now worked with for six years,” FSU head coach Bob Braman said. “I am proud of the team's effort to help raise money for such a worthy cause."
