Dix Awarded Bronze Medal In 200m At Beijing Olympics

BEIJING, China -- Florida State's Walter Dix earned his second Bronze Medal at the Beijing Olympics after being awarded the third spot in the 200m dash Wednesday. In a rare turn of events, Dix moved up two spots with his time of 19.98 after the disqualification of the Silver and Bronze medal winners. Churandy Martina of Netherlands Antilles and Wallace Spearmon both men crossed over the lane markers. Former Seminole Brian Dzingai moved up to fourth place with a time of 20.22.

Dix is scheduled to compete in the 4x100 Relay. Round 1 will take place August 21st at 8:25 p.m. Eastern with the final following on August 22nd at 10:10m p.m.
