Six Student-Athletes Named 2007 Arthur Ashe Junior Sports Scholars

The Diverse: Issues In Higher Education established the Inspired by tennis legend Arthur Ashe Jr.'s commitment to education as well as his love for the game of tennis, we invite every college and university in the country to participate in this annual awards program by nominating their outstanding sports scholars. In addition to their athletic ability, Arthur Ashe Jr. To be included, students have to compete in an intercollegiate sport; maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2; and must be active on their campuses or in their communities. This year, approximately 600 male and female student-athletes from across the country were nominated. Florida State's honorees: 1st Team: Track & Field's Javier Garcia Tunon (Fall '06 GPA 4.0, Cum.
