Alicia York is a first-year graduate student at Florida State and serving the program as women's operations assistant. She joined the staff in the fall and worked with the ACC Championship cross country team. York comes to Florida State after completing an internship with the University of Pennsylvania, specifically working with the prestigious 117th Penn Relays Carnival - the oldest and largest annual track meet in the United States. Prior to her duties with the Penn Relays, York worked at her alma mater, George Mason University, in event management and facilitation. A four-year participant in cross country and track for the Patriots, she was the top runner for the 2007 country team as well as the 3,000-meters on the track. Born and raised in Haverford, Pa., the Philadelphia area native will serve as the co-meet director for this year's FSU Relays. Additional responsibilities will include facilitating with the management of FSU's Striders program as well as additional administrative duties with both the cross country and track programs. |
