Track 'Noles return to Virginia hoping to continue string of ACC Outdoor Championships


Redshirt junior is making her first NCAA East Preliminary appearance, checking in as the No. 48 seed in the 3000-meter steeplechase...has impressively overcome injuries to make contributions throughout the year in cross country, indoor and outdoor seasons for FSU's Triple Crown title sweep...ranks No. 8 all-time among Seminoles in the steeplechase.


Outdoor: Competed in a career-high seven meets and made them count, establishing new personal-best marks in the 800, 1500, mile and 3000 steeplechase...earned a spot in the postseason on the strength of her career-best 10:28.31 steeplechase at the Seminole Twilight, which also marked her first collegiate victory...set new 1500 PR (4:29.35) at the Seminole Invitational...800 PR (2:14.67) came at Jace LaCoste Invitational.

Indoor: Raced in three meets, competing each time in the 3000-meter run...registered her season-best (9:50.76) at the Tyson Invitational.


Outdoor and Indoor: Injury limited her to one meet, eventually leading to a medical hardship...lone competition produced a then personal-best (4:33.29) in the 1500 at the FSU Relays.


Outdoor: The highlight of a five-race season came at the Florida Relays, where she cracked FSU's all-time top 10 in the 3000-meter steeplechase (10:38.78) in a sixth-place showing...finished 11th in the steeplechase at the ACC Championships...ran 1500 PR of 4:36.82 at the Seminole Invitational.

Indoor: Established a new PR over 3000 meters at the SPIRE Invitational (9:40.54)...also recorded her top mile time to date at the Auburn Invitational...placed 11th in the 3000 at the ACC Championships meet.


Outdoor and Indoor: Established five new personal-best marks as a freshman between the indoor and outdoor seasons...made her steeplechase debut over 2000 meters at the Seminole Invitational (7:08.28)...jumped up to the 3000 steeplechase for the ACC Championships where she placed 14th in 10:54.04 in event debut...lone indoor competition was the 3000-meter run at Jimmy Carnes Invitational.

Cross Country

2013: Competed in five meets for the first time since her first season, including the ACC performances came with a ninth-place finish at the Covered Bridge Open and a 10th-place showing at the FSU Invitational. 2012: Had her season curtailed by injury after placing 22nd at Covered Bridge Open. 2011: Was FSU's No. 1 finisher in the season-opening Covered Bridge Open and the FSU Invitational, where she placed sixth overall...competed at the ACC Championships where she ran a 6k personal best of 21:23.8 to finish 39th...served as the alternate at the NCAA Championships meet. 2010: Sat out the season as a redshirt.

Personal: Enjoyed outstanding career at Trinity Prep in cross country and track, establishing school records in cross country as well as the 800 and 1600...had a pair of top-10 finishes at the 1A State Cross Country Championships...was a three-time all-state performer in the 800 on the track...selected Trinity Prep Athlete of the Year as a senior...majoring in exercise science...born September 26, 1991.
