FSU Relays Off To Rousing Start

'Noles score five victories; high schoolers flourish on fast track

PERFORMANCE RESULTS

Enters the NCAA East Preliminary meet as a member of Florida State's 4x100 relay pool...competed primarily in the 200 and on the sprint relays throughout the season.

2014

Outdoor: Competed in seven meets, focusing on the 200 and also contributing to the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams...handled the stick as the anchor leg on the Seminoles' blistering 44.29 4x100 quartet at the FSU Relays, which ranks as the No. 6 time in the East and No. 13 overall in the NCAA this season...posted fastest legal 200 since 2012 (24.13) at the Seminole Twilight...blazed a wind-aided 23.92 at the Seminole Invitational...was on FSU's eighth-place 4x400 relay team, providing the final point toward the ACC team title and completion of the Triple Crown sweep.

Indoor: Injury-limited season included appearances in only two meets...opened the year at the UAB Blazer Invitational in the 300-meter dash (40.16)...posted a time of 24.88 in the 200 at the Razorback Invitational.

2013

Outdoor and Indoor: Sat out both seasons as a redshirt

2012

Outdoor: Competed in four meets, primarily on relay teams...popped off season-best 200 (24.49) at FSU Relays to finish third...fastest 400 (57.26) came at Seminole Invitational, where she placed fifth...was a member of FSU's seventh-place scoring 4x400 relay at the ACC Outdoor Championships.

Indoor: Productive ACC Indoor Championships meet highlighted first season with the `Noles...ran the 400 leg (56.35) on FSU's ACC record-setting (11:08.17) and winning distance medley relay team...place fifth individually in the 200 (24.10)...contributed the fastest leg (55.77) to the Seminoles' 4x400 relay (3:46.29), which finished fifth and enabled the `Noles to hold on to the runner-up position...ran season-best 400 (56.23) at SPIRE Invitational.

Personal: Did not run high school track as DeKalb School of the Arts did not offer a program...has run for only three years, predominantly with the New Horizons Track Club through the USATF Junior program at the state, region and national levels...has competed in a variety of races ranging from 55- to 800-meters... majoring in political science...born May 31, 1993.
