Mitchell, Williams lead way as 'Noles make final push for NCAA Indoor spots

Talented junior leads a young sprint contingent on the women's side...made her second consecutive NCAA Indoor Championship appearace in the 60-meter dash after posting a season-best time of 7.33 at the ACC Championships, where she finished fifth...in her first season working with Director of Sprints, Hurdles & Relays coach Ken Harnden. 2011: Outdoor - capped her collegiate season by earning All-American honors in the 4x100 relay at the NCAA Championships, where the `Noles finished sixth (44.06) after posting a season-best 43.65 in the preliminary round...competed in the 100 at the NCAA First Round as well as the 4x100 Relay...placed third in the 100 at the ACC Outdoor Championships and well as with the 4x100 Relay...posted collegiate bests in both the 100 (11.34) and 200 (24.37) at the Seminole Invitational. Indoor - advanced to the NCAA Indoor Championships for the first time in the 60 after uncorking a career-best 7.26 at the Iowa State Last Chance meet, where she posted a victory...advanced to the finals and finished third or better in four of five 60m appearances, including a third-place finish at the ACC Indoor Championships. 2010: Outdoor - after sitting out the indoor season had a huge spring in her freshman campaign...advanced to the NCAA Championships in both the 100 and 4x100 relay, propelled by her season and collegiate best 11.29 at the NCAA East Region, where posted the victory...scored five 100-meter victories over the course of the season, highlighted by her rookie season ACC Championship triumph...also won titles at the FSU Relays and Florida Relays...helped the Seminoles' 4x100 relay team to the finals of the Penn Relays, where they finished fifth. Personal: A native of St. Kitts & Nevis, where she earned the junior national title in 2009 and was named captain of her country's team for the CARIFTA Games...Class 3 & 4 100m record-holder of the Basse Terre High Schools in 2002 and 2003...recipient of the 2006 Alphonso Bridgewater Award for the most outstanding student in athletes and academics...majoring in psychology at FSU...born Jan. 7, 1990.
