Versatile sophomore who will chase NCAA Championships qualifying marks in the long jump and will also contribute to the Seminoles in the hurdles...may see action in multievents as well.
Outdoor: NCAA East Preliminary qualifier in the long jump as a freshman...registered post-season worthy mark at the ACC Outdoor Championships where she placed sixth in the long jump with a collegiate-best mark of 6.13m (20-1.50)...was also finished seventh in the 100-meter hurdles, contributing to the Seminoles' runner-up team finish...opened the season with her personal-best of 14.07 in the 100-meter hurdles at the Bulls Invitational.
Indoor: A January enrollee, she contributed immediately for the Seminoles...scored in both the long jump (fifth-place) and 60-meter hurdles (eighth-place) at the ACC Championships, contributing to FSU's runner-up team finish...also logged her season-best marks at the ACC meet in the long jump (6.10m/20-0.25) and 60 hurdles (8.62, prelims).
Personal: The younger sister of FSU sophomore long jumper and All-American Stefan Brits... represented her native South Africa at the 2011 World Youth Games in Lille, France, qualifying in both the 100-meter hurdles and long jump...also competed in the 2010 Youth Olympic Games...born February 25, 1994
