Accomplished Norwegian hammer thrower who will be making her NCAA postseason debut in first season with the Seminoles...is the No. 11 seed at the East Preliminary meet on the strength of her school-record throw of 60.99m (200-1).
Outdoor: Brings momentum into the NCAA postseason after scoring consecutive wins at the Seminole Twilight and Georgia Tech Invitational, breaking her own school record in each meet...placed fourth at the ACC Outdoor Championships, helping the Seminoles to the team title...took just two meets to break the 15-year old school record, breaking through at the Crimson Tide Invitational with a mark of 59.08 meters (193-10)...improved on that record with a winning throw of 60.86 (199-8) at the Seminole Twilight before eclipsing the 200-foot barrier at Georgia Tech.
Indoor: Arrived at FSU in January and began preparing for the outdoor season, while also competing in the weight throw for the first time in her career...saw action in two meets and made a one-meter improvement with a season-best weight throw of 15.46 meters at the ACC Indoor Championships.
Personal: Has represented Norway on the European and World stage beginning in 2007 as youth and junior competitor in the hammer...is the two-time Norwegian junior champion and six-time bronze medalist at the Norwegian Nationals...competed in U23 European Championships in 2011 and 2013, as well as the 2011 World University Games in China...reached the finals of the 2010 World Junior Championships after winning the Nordic Championships...lifetime hammer best of 61.66 meters (202-3) set in May 2013...majoring in psychology...born November 16, 1991.
